Heroes and Kings, The Shanahma of Ferdowsi Exhibition Preview

Wednesday 17th February 2010 saw the official preview of the John Rylands Library’s latest exhibition Heroes and Kings, The Shahnama of Ferdowsi, which will be showing in the Christie Gallery until 27th June 2010. The preview was the first in a long list of special events which will be held in connection with the exhibition, please see our Spring What’s On guide or the leaflet below for more details.

Heroes & kings Exhibition

From the 18th of February, the John Rylands Library will be hosting Heroes and Kings, The Shahnama of Ferdowski, an exhibition to celebrate the millenium of the Shahnama. On display will be a collection of manuscripts from the Rylands collection, as well as art and museum pieces from the time.

The Exhibition is free and runs until the 27th June 2010. As well as the main exhibition, there will be events taking place including dance and film showings. See the flyer below for more information.
